If you have questions about using Veoli Botanica plant-based dermocosmetics from the new professional line – you are in the right place. On this page you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions.

1.
Can pregnant and breastfeeding women use cosmetics from the professional line?

Cosmetics from the professional line contain a high content of active ingredients, so in the case of pregnancy and breastfeeding their use should be consulted with a doctor. However, we don’t recommend using Power Matcha Peel and Focus Pigmentation Essence during pregnancy due to the presence of BHA acid.

2. Should I use SPF protection when using cosmetics from the professional line?

We recommend using your favourite SPF filter every day, especially in combination with products containing AHA, BHA and PHA acids. These acids are included in the Power Matcha Peel and Focus Pigmentation Essence products.

3. Can cosmetics from the professional line also be used by people with sensitive and couperose skin?

For sensitive and couperose skin, we especially recommend care involving the Focus Hydration Gel serum and Focus Lifting Milk, as well as weekly exfoliation with the acid-enzymatic Matcha Power Peel.

4. At what stage of care should the serum be used? Do I need to apply cream after I’ve used the serum?

Use the serum directly after you’ve cleansed your skin and applied tonic. You can use it on its own or in combination with your favourite day or night cream. We recommend following up the treatment with Have a Nice Face or Repair by Night creams, depending on the time of day. Such a treatment will boost the absorption of the serum’s highly concentrated active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin through an occlusion provided by the biomimetic ingredients of creams. Before applying the cream, we recommend waiting until the serum is completely absorbed.

5. Can I use all the cosmetics from the professional line at the same time in one care step?

Multi-acid enzyme Power Matcha Peel is perfect to start off your treatment with plant-based dermocosmetics. Its comprehensive cleansing formula removes dead epidermis cells from the skin, so that the highly active substances in the serums can sink deeper into deep skin for more intensive and lasting effect. This step, where the skin “opens up,” speeds up the effects of application, while also making them more permanent.

The serum series is also formulated to create mutual synergy. You can use different serums on different parts of the skin of the face, neck and chest region, depending on the area where the problem occurs.

6. Can I use all of the cosmetics from the professional line and alternate between them?

Yes, you can use the professional range of products alternately at different times of the day. We recommend using the multi-acid enzyme Power Matcha Peel at night. If we want to use the entire set of serum on the whole face, without dividing it into facial zones, we recommend that you use Focus Pigmentation Essence at night, wait until it is absorbed and then apply Focus Hydration Gel. In the morning, apply Focus Lifting Milk by working your way in circular motions from the bottom of the face to the top.

7. Which cosmetics from the professional line shouldn’t I combine with each other? Are any products mutually exclusive?

The combination of Power Matcha Peel and Focus Pigmentation Essence serum may be too strong for some skin types. For dry and sensitive skin, we advise you to use these products separately. On days when we use Power Matcha Peel, we should take a break from the serum.

We also recommend that you watch closely as you use Focus Pigmentation Essence on oily or combination skin, as this may bring about a large reduction in sebum production. If this happens, it is a good idea to adjust the dose and purity of the product to the already “changed” skin type.

8. Is it possible to worsen the complexion by using the products initially?

During the first weeks (1-2 weeks) of intensive treatment for oily and combination skin with Focus Pigmentation Essence, the skin may detox, which shows up through increased appearance of imperfections. After this period, changes will become less frequent and acne discoloration will subside. This allows you to make your dream come true: smooth skin with a uniform colour after 4-8 weeks of using the serum.

9. Can I combine plant retinol (bakuchiol) with vitamin C and Niacinamide?

There are no contraindications to combining these ingredients with each other. We use a stable form of vitamin C that works at a skin pH of 5.0-5.5, which also coincides with the spectrum of niacinamide and bakuchiol.

10. Does the professional line use a stable form of vitamin C?

In the professional series, we use stable vitamin C in the form of glucoside (i.e. a combination with natural sugar and glucose). It only activates when the product is applied. This is because our skin contains ‘glucosidase,’ an enzyme which gradually breaks down this stable compound and releases ready-for-action ascorbic acid. Also, each time the product is applied, a fresh dose of vitamin C is supplied to the skin.

11. Can I apply the serum to the area under the eyes?

Serums from the professional series have not been tested for use under the eyes, but with the Focus Hydration Gel and Focus Lifting Milk serums, there are no ingredient-based contraindications to this. The Focus Pigmentation Essence serum, on the other hand, contains a large amount of AHA acids, which is why we advise against applying the product under the eyes, as it may cause stinging and irritation in these areas.

12. Are the acid concentrations high?

Our products contain specially designed combinations and adjusted concentrations of AHA, BHA and PHA acids so that they exfoliate and brighten the skin without causing irritation.

Of course, the effects of acids depend on the thickness of the epidermis, which is an individual feature of each person. People with dry skin, whose epidermis is relatively thinner, can feel the effects of our products with acids faster than people with oily skin and correspondingly thicker epidermis.

13. Are the cosmetics from the new professional line also vegan and natural?

Our cosmetics from the professional line are 100% vegan (certified by the Viva! And PETA foundations) and created in harmony with the Clean Beauty philosophy. In each of the cosmetics, we tried to use the highest possible percentage of ingredients of natural origin, while maintaining highly effective formulas. This has produced a combination of well-known and high-performance synthetic ingredients, i.e. niacinamide, with bioactive plant extracts to support and enhance their beneficial effects. Each product has a precisely determined % of ingredients of natural origin listed on the label and the product box.

14. What ages is each product in the line intended for?

Our professional line is designed to address specific skin problems and it is precisely the skin problems that you want to fight against that you should base your choice of a specific product on (rather than age or skin type).

In the case of the Focus Lifting Milk lifting serum, the product comes with an application plan for younger people to prevent the formation of wrinkles and loss of skin firmness, and an intensive application plan for women with mature skin to help fight the already existing signs of ageing.
